Ty Landsker, Houghton

It really is a great property with large bedrooms, a large garden and the hot tub is great. We loved the indooroutdoor vibe with the bifold doors. However, for the price we paid, we were surprised at the basic things which weren't included. For example, no soap or shower gel in all the bathrooms and no extra bin bags for the bathrooms or the main bins these are expensive things for guests to pay to supply 5x bathrooms for a few nights! Some of the bathrooms also didn't have a bin in them. There was a washing machine but no clothes horse to dry clothes on inside when raining. We had a big group of 11 and really struggled to have enough plates, glasses and cutlery for the whole group. The kitchen was also lacking basics such as no roasting dishes, no pizza slice, no whisk, no measuring jug and no scales. A couple with us had a dog and it would have been really useful to have a fence to the side so that the dog couldn't escape although we did know this was the case from the description. The dishwasher also broke whilst we were there but they sent someone out to fix it that day so we thought that was really good. Finally, we were very disappointed that some people turned up at 9am on our leaving day an hour early to take all the bins. We felt rushed by this and hadn't had the opportunity to clear the kitchen yet. If checkout is at 10am, then no one should be arriving before then. Overall the property has the potential to be amazing. It just needs a bit more equipment and amenities which we thought would be there considering the premium we paid.

Beautiful house and decor with ample parking spots. During our stay the hot tub had an electrical issue but the maintenance man came out very quickly and fixed it, on a Sunday too. The bedrooms are lovely, particularly the big windows in the main bedroom however the sofas were slightly small. The kitchendining room is a great size for cooking and socialising and well equipped although an additional frying pan would have been helpful. We loved the indoor outdoor living, being able to fully open the bifold doors from the kitchen and lounge into the generously sized garden. The house could benefit from a House Name sign which can be seen from the road as it wasn't the easiest to find despite the directions sent. It would also be great if fencing could be installed along the side boundary for those with dogs, even a wire fence. We had a fantastic weekend at Ty Landsker and spent our whole weekend there, only leaving to walk the dog. We would recommend it and stay again.

Absolutely lovely place clean, tidy. Only this the mattresses in the single bed room are really bad they just feel like springs they had to sleep on the sofa. Thank you

We had a lovely holiday in the area, there are plenty of places to visit within 30 minutes. The house is really large and spacious and it's a great space for socialising together. However, we felt a few improvements could be made Better living room setup it's a huge room but the sofas are on opposite ends of the room, plus for such a huge room the sofas were quite small and unfortunately not very comfortable. The extractor fan in the kitchen sounded like a jet engine was about to take off, all of the toilet seats weren't fitted properly and were very wobbly. When we initially arrived all the rubbish bags from the previous guests had been left outside and we had to chase up Sykes to sort this which they did thankfully. I'm not usually one to moan about things, but we felt for a 5 property, a few things could do with being looked at. Other than the things mentioned, we had a lovely time together as a family of 9

We had a wonderful stay at Ty Landker! We visited to celebrate the start of the festive season, and it truly was perfect. Everyone had a fantastic time. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cooking facilities were excellent we easily catered for 12 people with everything provided. The space was ideal for us to socialise and enjoy quality time together. The location was also great, giving us the chance to get out and explore beautiful West Wales. Were already looking forward to returning for a longer stay in the summer.
